There is a need for continued outreach with the Gospel          to the people of Bremen too.

It should come as no surprise to hear that there are numerous false prophets, and teachers of many different gospels on the streets here, and most of them in the name of “god”, but sadly very few in the Name of Jesus Christ, the risen Son of the Father. Many of these “gospels” are little more than traps to ensnare the unaware. Almost two thousand years have passed since the apostle Paul wrote (Romans chapter 10) of the necessity to preach the True Gospel so that people might understand and believe. The same is true today.

When we travel as a team to preach or to distribute God’s written Word in this city, we unfortunately encounter very few who truly proclaim Jesus as the risen Son of God. In Jesus, we as His disciples are promised the victory for “we are more than conquerors” (Rom.8:37). Satan is a defeated enemy because of Calvary, so we need not be fainthearted. Many are the promises of our God for His Church. The gates of hell itself shall not prevail against us, therefore let us believe it, appropriate it and fight the good fight. Let us trust and obey. Let us prove his promises for they are “yea and amen in Christ Jesus” (2 Cor.1:20) therefore, as Paul encourages us, let us stand firm. (v.21). We are to be clothed in His armour and His righteousness, (Eph.6,  2 Cor.6:7, Phil.3:9). We are to go in love, and obedience. Both are commands from the Captain of our Salvation (Heb.2:10 A.V.) We are to PRAY in His Kingdom, as well as PROCLAIM His Kingdom. (Matt.28:18-20, Mark 16:15-18).

This Great Commission has not been abrogated. It is as pertinent now, as when Jesus first gave it: ”Go into ALL the world, and make disciples of ALL nations, baptising them… and teaching them to obey (my commandments), and surely I am with you to the very end of the age.” Therefore, the mission is clear. There can be no alternative for all who love the Lord Jesus. It starts right where you are living. Feed the hungry hearts and thirsty souls. Give the Bread of Life and Living Water to those in need. “Whoever trusts in Me and acknowledges Me before men I will acknowledge him before My Father in heaven (Matt.10:32). “Open your eyes and look at the fields. They are ripe for Harvest!” (John 4:35b)  The Lord is with His own. He still says to those who go in obedience “Be strong and very courageous, neither be dismayed” (to Jehosaphat, 1 Chron 20:15-19, and to Joshua (Josh.1:5b-9,18b). The Lord is with us too. Let us make His Name great as we declare His unfathomable love and forgiveness to the lost lambs and the sheep that have gone astray.

Whether we are called to preach, or however we are called to proclaim that Jesus lives, let us do it in His strength. Only He can give the necessary power for the situation. Only He can give the giftings for the task in hand. Only He is able to touch lives In His perfect way. Only let us be obedient to share Him wherever, whatever, and to whoever. He will take care of the rest.

It is my prayer that we are united in the Spirit of our Almighty God, and that we may share His Gospel His love, with kindness, truth and boldness. My be always be aware of every opportunity to witness, trusting that He will give the words to say for every occasion.

Facts about preaching in the city of Bremen.

Praise God that here, as in most places in Germany, there is no special permission provided one uses no electronic aids.

(The German outdoor preachers of old didn’t have them- so why should we)

One must be careful not to block the side-walks.

A maximum time of 30 minutes preaching is permitted, and then one is expected to move to another place, at least 100 metres away.

The police/ city rules and regulations should be followed. (We are subject to the authorities- a biblical injunction. Titus 3:1-2)

May you be blessed and protected by our Lord Jesus Christ, both you, your family, team-members and the local Fellowship to which you belong.
